Today, I don't want to talk about M.E. I want to take the time to remember a great man, Martin Luther King Jr., who sacrificed his life so that people of color like myself could enjoy all of the freedoms we do today. I want to say Thank You, Martin. You will be remembered forever.
Because of the brave souls such as MLK and many, many others, we get to celebrate the second term of the first African-American president of the United States today! I am so proud, I am bursting at the seams. My sister just returned from the inaugural parade where she saw President Obama and the First Lady, followed by Vice President Biden and his wife. I myself was unable to make it but was glad my lil' sis got to share in a part of history in the making.
