Excerpt from Lover, Divine (Mythos: Gods and Lovers #1) by A. Star

I know. You're like, what the hell is this? NO RANT?!

Sorry ladies and gents. No rant today. But to celebrate 1,000+ likes on Facebook, I decided to release an excerpt (the only one) from my next A. Star release Lover, Divine, the first book in the Mythos: Gods and Lovers series.

The reason this will be written under A. Star and not Diantha Jones is because I want it to always be clear that books by A. Star are for adults. Plus, the Gods and Lovers books will be stand-alone novellas and you don't need to read the Oracle of Delphi (or Mythos: Stories from Olympus) books to read them. However, I do suggest it. It will make reading the Gods and Lovers books that much more fun!

So Lover, Divine stars Apollo and Siobhan (mother to our beloved OOD heroes, Strafford Law and Ace Remedy). It will cover how they met and the HOT romance that came after. I'm so excited for this one! It's turning out really spicy and I'm having such a good time writing it. Release date is still unknown but I'm thinking it'll be out sometime at the end of the year. I'll keep you up to date.

Okay, I'm shutting up now. Enjoy!

Excerpt from Lover, Divine

“Why me?” I questioned.

“What do you mean?”

“You know wha’ I mean.” Heavens, I was getting quite comfortable talking to a god this way. “Of all the mortal women in the world, why do you want me?”

Apollo appeared to think it over, as though he hadn’t plotted this entire charade. “For many reasons, I suppose.”

“Such as?”

His blue eyes twinkled. “Such as, I had grown tired of imagining how it would feel to lick every inch of your body and decided it was time to make my dream a reality.”

My mouth fell open, but Apollo didn’t even pause to acknowledge my shock.

“Such as, I wanted to know what it felt like to touch you, kiss you, be inside you and get caught up in the sweet shrill of your moans. Such as,” his expression softened a bit, “I wanted to hear you play, Siobhan. I wanted to listen to the delicate sounds that only you and your violin seem able to produce. I wanted to see that look on your face as the melody poured from your soul. I wanted to watch your lovely fingers dance along the strings as your pretty lips curved into that smile that causes your entire face to radiate with the utter passion that music brings you. Simply put, you are the most beautiful creature in the universe when you play.”

I gasped softly as my fingers tightened around the neck of my violin.

Apollo leaned in until his lips were flush against my ear. “I don’t care what anyone says, you are far from plain. You are beautiful. Witty, bright, and beautiful. And I can’t wait to get you in my bed, under me, with nothing between us, because I know that you are never more beautiful than when you come.”

Hope you enjoyed it!

I'd love to hear from you!
